The importance of the edition featured in this exhibition, one of the original four acquired by Goya's loyal patrons, the Duke and Duchess of Osuna, lies as much in the quality of its impressions as in its evidence of the generosity of a liberal noble couple, and their rapport with a radical artist. These etchings were purchased directly from Goya.
